Looking for Christmas Gift

I'd like to greet you all,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I've been thinking to make my own wishlist. But I don't think it will work in here, and beside, I don't really have a long list. Just one thing that I'd like to have is an automatic watch. You know that kind of watch that eco-green, wind itself.

This is Sparta!

I bet everyone know where that line comes from.
Hope this will ring the bells.

Messenger: Choose your next words carefully, Leonidas. They may be your last as king.
King Leonidas: [to himself] "Earth and water"?
[Leonidas unsheathes and points his sword at the Messenger's throat]
Messenger: Madman! You're a madman!
King Leonidas: Earth and water? You'll find plenty of both down there.
Messenger: No man, Persian or Greek, no man threatens a messenger!
King Leonidas: You bring the crowns and heads of conquered kings to my city steps. You insult my queen. You threaten my people with slavery and death! Oh, I've chosen my words carefully, Persian. Perhaps you should have done the same!
Messenger: This is blasphemy! This is madness!
King Leonidas: Madness...?
[shouting]
King Leonidas: This is Sparta!
[Kicks the messenger down the well]
Yes, it's from the movie 300. When King Leonidas answer to the Persian messenger (oh, I just love that scene).

And now this is a video that make my day
*ROFL*

Hillarious Homer Simpson Quote

Since I've been reading a lot of quotes nowadays, I realize that the one that really make my day, is Homer's!

  • [Meeting Aliens] Please don't eat me! I have a wife and kids. Eat them!
  • How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?
  • If something goes wrong at the plant, blame the guy who can't speak English.
  • [Looking at a globe map...country being Uruguay]
  • Hee hee! Look at this country! 'You-are-gay.'
  • Beer: The cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems.

Want more?

  • Marge, don't discourage the boy! Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals! Except the weasel.
  • I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman.
  • Kids, you tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try.
  • Lisa, if the Bible has taught us nothing else, and it hasn't, it's that girls should stick to girls sports, such as hot oil wrestling and foxy boxing and such and such.
  • Lisa, if you don't like your job you don't strike. You just go in every day and do it really half-assed. That's the American way.

Modern Warfare 2 is Unleashed

Activision is now presenting Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 which is a sequel to the famous and successful Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. This first-person shooting game has smashed UK sales records on its first day of release. Sold an estimated 1.23 million units the game sold almost double that of the previous record holder, Grand Theft Auto IV (GTA IV).

On its release, 00:00 GMT November 1010, hundreds were lining up in front of shops waiting to get their hands on one of those copies.

"Our form of interactive entertainment has completely come of age."

The publishers of Modern Warfare 2, Activision, have predicted total sales of 3m across the UK while some analysts believe it could sell 10m copies globally in the run up to Christmas. Robert Kotick, CEO of Activision, described it as "one of the largest entertainment launches of any media of all time".

Modern Warfare 2 is the sixth instalment in the Call of Duty series and gives players the chance to be a member of a military strike force that takes on a Russian ultra-nationalist terrorist group.
The game has drawn criticism because one section, prefaced by a warning screen, involves a player joining a massacre of civilians at an airport.
Labour MP Keith Vaz condemned the game saying he was "absolutely shocked" by its violence. In response, Activision said the scene was "not representative of overall experience".

Labour MP Tom Watson has set up a Facebook group to defend games such as Call of Duty from their critics. "This is specifically intended for an adult audience and accordingly has emotional, adult content," said Mr Rawlinson.
"As an 18-rated videogame, it is important that this game is not played by children, and parents should be appropriately vigilant."

Facebook Smiley

I think everyone is getting hooked with this so-called social-networking site: Facebook. Even mobile phones come with built-in apps for their users. Now after a serious self-thinking, I have realized that during my online session, I always have a Facebook tab opened for me. That's because I have this huge affection towards Restaurant City (owning my own restaurant, sounds perfect).

Yes, Facebook provide you with almost everything, starting from social-networking features (and that huge traffic of status updates), application and games (and the competition among Facebookers they bring) - but what fascinate me when I use Facebook for the very first time: is its chat window.

It is a great convenience for me to be able to chat with others, during games without need to be irritated with alt+tab keys (for switching between windows). Especially with those big flash games, that consume lots and lots of CPU resources.

And now I'm going to share the Facebook Emoticon collection I've gathered (all rights reserved). Let see if we're talking about the same thing:

If you want the complete set, you can have it here: Download Facebook Emoticons

Shorten Your URL

Gosh, finally I found what I need to shorten my URLs. It's been such a pain working with long URLs (since I'm giving php processed pages to my clients).

Well, it's a free service for shortening url, so I don't see why you would have a problem for trying that. Take a look, since they also give you a "freedom" to decide your tag or keyword (as long as it's available).

Ok, for example. You see that link above? The one that tracks to nichpakaich.com? Okay, the same link here is going to redirect you to the same page. Only, this one has different url, shorten url to be precisely (http://niurl.com/cf798.html)

Cat Slaughter in Miami

I was landed in this news page, where a video about Cat-killer sought in South Dade can be watched. This is a testimony from one of the victims (or the cat owner).

I can't imagine what sick person could have positioned him/her self in such credit as cat serial-killer. If there is anything that can explain the reason why the culprit have to do it, then I'm all ears.

Now the cops even giving rewards, either for tips or any information in order to solve this case, apprehend the suspect (hopefully also give the suspect an equal punishment).

D.E.B.S: As Much As I Can Get Entertained

D.E.B.S probably a movie that isn't going to go for any Oscar, but I like it the way I enjoyed it so much. Plus this is the very first time I see Jordana Brewster, which is actually in this year Fast & Furious.

The story, the romance, it's two-thumbs up! I still got the sensation even after a couple of days had passed.
