Relieve Your Oxidative Stress

How much do you aware with the potential harm of free radicals against your health and look?
Do you realize that you are performing your daily errands while having direct contact with the substance that cause oxidative damage to your cells.

For your information, we age because our cells accumulate those damage over time. As we age, we are spending out our lifespan.

So, now you can see the co-relation between free radical and the aging process, right?

Now let's not talk about the fountain of youth, because you cannot stop your self from aging. It's something we all have by nature. Mean while, if we cannot stop ourself from aging, the least we can do is to slow it down.

Is there any possible way to do so?
Of course, that's what I'm going to share with you.

Strictly speaking about a way to slow down the oxidative damage effect upon us, we have antioxidant, a reducing agent that relieve our body from oxidative stress. Commonly, you may know it from somewhere else by the name of anti aging substances.

Now lets have a second or two, to think about the word "anti-oxidant"
...

DVD and Blu-ray Region Encoding

Movie is definitely a great way to deliver a message, not to mention it is also the best mean of entertainment which I enjoy. For you movie lovers, the term of Region Encoding is one thing that you should be aware of, especially when you purchasing a movie through online shops.

Global region codes identify specific DVDs and Blu-ray discs that are compatible with the players typically sold in that region. The majority of all current titles play in only one specific region unless otherwise noted.

Standard DVDs
  • Region 1: U.S., U.S. Territories, Canada, and Bermuda
  • Region 2: Japan, Europe, South Africa, and the Middle East, including Egypt
  • Region 3:Southeast Asia, East Asia, including Hong Kong
  • Region 4:Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean
  • Region 5:Former Soviet Union, Indian subcontinent, Africa, North Korea, and Mongolia
  • Region 6:China
Blu-ray Discs
  • Region A/1: North America, Central America, South America, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.
  • Region B/2: Europe, Greenland, French territories, Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
  • Region C/3: India, Nepal, Mainland China, Russia, Central and South Asia.

Note it down, if you feel like you have to, or simply memorize your region so that you'll know in the future what region code you should pick when you are about to get your hands on your favorite movies.

PSP SmartPhones as iPad Rival?

Years ago, Sony Entertainment made a breakthrough with Sony Playstation gaming console, which then invite one major software manufacturer to dwell into the same market (Microsoft with XBOX). Which then started the gaming console war, with their upgrades and everything else. But now, Sony seems like getting more aggressive with their move. Instead of waiting for a new competitor, they jump into a new competition.

This time they headed to mobile devices market which accompanied with software services (remind you of Android, right?). And what are they going after? Apple's iPad if I may say.

Rumors on the internet says that (Wall Street Journal report) Sony had made a strategy called Sony Online Service, which revolves around mobile technology and gaming service. The products will be new smartphone and tablet-like devices.

Sony has clearly seen the runaway success of Apple's iTunes Store, particularly the booming market for mobile iPhone and iPod touch apps, and wants in on a piece of the action.
Sony Online Service

Sony Online Service is expected to offer a similar range of music and video content, and the jewel in Sony Computer Entertainment's crown – it's massive back-catalogue of PlayStation games.

Sony is planning to make a smartphone that can play those downloadable games made for the PSP Go— the much rumoured "PSP phone."

A project is also underway to make a new device which "blurs distinctions among a netbook, an e-reader and a PSP," according to the Journal.

"It's still not quite clear what specific steps Sony will take to achieve that, especially when iPad and other highly capable mobile devices are crowding the market," Nobuo Kurahashi, a consumer-electronics analyst at Japanese brokerage Mizuho Investors Securities, told the WSJ.

Android Phones

Well, the buzz is still happening, and I'd like to share some knowledge regarding this new trend in mobile phones. Well, I do my homework, just to avoid silly mistake I might have with others when it comes to this technology.

First of all, what is Android?
Well, it's a mobile operating system. So it's not a brand, it's not a model, but it's the technology that empowered a mobile phone, whatever the manufacturers could be. The Android Operating System uses a modified version of the Linux kernel.

Why it comes in various Brands?
Well, since the unveiling of the Android distribution on 5 November 2007 was announced with the founding of the Open Handset Alliance, a consortium of 47 hardware, software, and telecom companies devoted to advancing open standards for mobile devices. No wonder so many mobile phone's manufacturer come with this technology.
What does it have to do with Google?
Well, at first Google released most of the Android code under the Apache License, a free software and open source license.

Those are some brief introduction to Android phones. You go at it if you interested.

iPad a Failure?

First of all, I have to say, that I'm not a gadget freak. It took me a while just to realize that my friend ain't typo when I read he mentioned something about iPad.

This is a very creative movie about what people expect from iPad, and what they see..

You see, even I know Hitler wasn't talking about iPad in that video, but the subtitle is neatly arranged to make me laugh.

The iPad Review from me:
I am astoundingly disappointed that this product can't even do multi-tasking.
