PSP SmartPhones as iPad Rival?

Years ago, Sony Entertainment made a breakthrough with Sony Playstation gaming console, which then invite one major software manufacturer to dwell into the same market (Microsoft with XBOX). Which then started the gaming console war, with their upgrades and everything else. But now, Sony seems like getting more aggressive with their move. Instead of waiting for a new competitor, they jump into a new competition.

This time they headed to mobile devices market which accompanied with software services (remind you of Android, right?). And what are they going after? Apple's iPad if I may say.

Rumors on the internet says that (Wall Street Journal report) Sony had made a strategy called Sony Online Service, which revolves around mobile technology and gaming service. The products will be new smartphone and tablet-like devices.

Sony has clearly seen the runaway success of Apple's iTunes Store, particularly the booming market for mobile iPhone and iPod touch apps, and wants in on a piece of the action.
Sony Online Service

Sony Online Service is expected to offer a similar range of music and video content, and the jewel in Sony Computer Entertainment's crown – it's massive back-catalogue of PlayStation games.

Sony is planning to make a smartphone that can play those downloadable games made for the PSP Go— the much rumoured "PSP phone."

A project is also underway to make a new device which "blurs distinctions among a netbook, an e-reader and a PSP," according to the Journal.

"It's still not quite clear what specific steps Sony will take to achieve that, especially when iPad and other highly capable mobile devices are crowding the market," Nobuo Kurahashi, a consumer-electronics analyst at Japanese brokerage Mizuho Investors Securities, told the WSJ.

Modern Warfare 2 is Unleashed

Activision is now presenting Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 which is a sequel to the famous and successful Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. This first-person shooting game has smashed UK sales records on its first day of release. Sold an estimated 1.23 million units the game sold almost double that of the previous record holder, Grand Theft Auto IV (GTA IV).

On its release, 00:00 GMT November 1010, hundreds were lining up in front of shops waiting to get their hands on one of those copies.

"Our form of interactive entertainment has completely come of age."

The publishers of Modern Warfare 2, Activision, have predicted total sales of 3m across the UK while some analysts believe it could sell 10m copies globally in the run up to Christmas. Robert Kotick, CEO of Activision, described it as "one of the largest entertainment launches of any media of all time".

Modern Warfare 2 is the sixth instalment in the Call of Duty series and gives players the chance to be a member of a military strike force that takes on a Russian ultra-nationalist terrorist group.
The game has drawn criticism because one section, prefaced by a warning screen, involves a player joining a massacre of civilians at an airport.
Labour MP Keith Vaz condemned the game saying he was "absolutely shocked" by its violence. In response, Activision said the scene was "not representative of overall experience".

Labour MP Tom Watson has set up a Facebook group to defend games such as Call of Duty from their critics. "This is specifically intended for an adult audience and accordingly has emotional, adult content," said Mr Rawlinson.
"As an 18-rated videogame, it is important that this game is not played by children, and parents should be appropriately vigilant."

The Sims 2 is in my grasp now

If you need a game that could make you stay long enough in front of a computer,
or if you want a game that filled with so many features and surprises,
or if you ever need a game that is more complex than an ordinary strategy game,
then The Sims2 is what you need!

I remember the very first time I tried a predecessor version of it, The Sims, I spent 11 straight hours just to "try" it. And now I got my hands on The Sims2, finally. Yep, the effect is even greater than before. I managed to neglect most of my blogging tasks *LOL* But hey, I deserve some recreational means during this hard-times.

I was surprised how life continues in The Sims, we can find the Goth Family!
With Mortimer and Rebbeca as well. But there was a story about Bella chose different path. Hey, it adds some interesting points for the game itself. Employer messing up with it's maid *that's hillarious*

I'm not into any cheating codes, unless I'd have finished the game solely. So, this is it. No Cheats over here!

Gaming Anyone?

I just wondering, if anyone here, which in grown-ups age .. still spending your time in gaming? Like I do, for quite sometime. For me, probably, it's because I have too much time to kill. Being a freelance can be such a pain sometimes. Not because the workload, but in time where I don't have anything to do, things become so .. quite like a graveyard neutral

That's why I start to play some game, not just those that you can find in your local computer. I go for online games, where I have other ppl to talk-to. Hey, I need some social activities, right? I play Gunbound, Ghost Online and Ragnarok Online. For some that are not too "social" I often play Ikariam.

To think that again .. I guess, I'm lack of social activities. The "real" social activities, I meant.

Ikariam : Online Browser Game

I've just got intorduced to a new online game. It's called Ikariam. If some of you think that this is an obsolete info, well, for me it's still new.

The type of game is Strategy, and it's an online browser game. Which means, you can play it online just by using your usual web-browser without any un-neccessary installation of whatsoever. For you who already getting fammiliar with Age of Empire or Stronghold Crussader, this game is just like those I've mentioned. So I assume, it won't be so hard for you.

The game is taking place in ancient Greek, where people still pilage one against another, and Gods are to be worshiped in a good way. You will be provided with a small town as a start, for you to go to your place in the ranks. Develop your society and defense your town from others, as you unreveiled more and more features for your town.

Overall, I enjoyed this game. For it is a continous kind one, that means, even when I close my browser - the game and progress still being carried out. And I can do other activities for myself.
